So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 1 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. Luke 2:16-18 NIV
Please join us this weekend at CCCC as Pastor Rob will be teaching us more about the story of Mary and Joseph. We encourage everyone to invite a friend or family member.
We also encourage everyone to think of a loved one or friend to invite to our Christmas Eve service as we rejoice the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ!
Advent at CCCC
The faith stories of Advent tell of a situation – a young woman great with child, wondering, “Will I be able to do this? Can I be the mother of God’s son”? In the stories of Mary, Joseph, the prophets, the Israelites, and the shepherds we witness monumental commands accompanied by the enormous promise that those who hear and respond are not alone.

Advent calls us to ask ourselves, “Will we be ready, and how will we prepare to welcome God with us?”
Lighting candles on an Advent wreath offers us an opportunity to remember the stories of scripture as we look toward Christmas. This month we will light a candle each week, trusting that in the simple act of lighting a candle, we invite Christ into our lives yet again.
This week is the lighting of the Joy candle.
